This year I decided to join the BMC, instead of the MCofS. In the past, I have wanted to show my support for the MCofS but the membership benefits and the saving on the joint membership price for Emily and I was just too good a deal. I will miss the Scottish Mountaineer magazine but I can always sign up for the digital copy. Being based in Scotland, I feel it is important to keep up with what is going on up here.
Another reason for taking out BMC membership is that I hope to take advantage of the excellent deals on insurance - especially travel insurance. Looking forward to checking out my first Summit Magazine.
